Why use Hotglue?

Hotglue is a content manipulation system that allows user to build website directly in web-browser.
Hotglue is a useful manipulation system to edit text and content structure (elements) as well as upload images, videos and audio directly in the web-browser while viewing it. So it is an easy content manipulation system to build one's own website, portfolio or image gallery (online).

1.Easy and simple to manipulate content directly in web-browser while viewing.
2.Easy to upload images, videos and audio.
3.The content structures (elements) are easy to link and simple too.
4.It is a good system for beginners to learn on how a website is build as they will not have to code. (Even though there is option to put or type code in hotglue too).
5.The website that the user build in the hotglue can easily be saved because once an element in the edited or changed it is saved automatically and can be viewed by others as it was left.

My Experience Using Hotglue:-

My experience using hotglue was uncomfortable. The fact it was simple to use hotglue, the way to edit and upload images, text, audio and video directly in the browser were good features. It is a very easy content management system for beginner web designers to build website and portfolio and many more.

While using the hotglue the thing that I was uncomfortable was the limitations that it had. It is because I know how to code websites and have been using codes to build a proper website I felt uncomfortable with hotglue.

The thing hotglue had flaws were that the font style option were very few so I had to first edit in other softwares and then implement (upload) it in hotglue. I mean I had to use brute force. The other thing was that I was not able to center the page for my portfolio. I had to align it to the left so that when my hotglue page is open in other devices such as mobile phones or tablets it would be shown rather than it being very big or placed on the right side. The other thing is that the amount of percentage for the transperancy is not there to show like how photoshop and other editing softwares has, so I had to decide it myself whether it matched similar to other webpages or not.

The tools in the hotglue were all very simple to use and understand but most of them had limitations like I had to estimate the size, because like i said earlier the software such as photoshop and illustrator has percentage figure to show for size, whereas the hotglue doesn't. The tool in hotglue that many students had problem with was the "make the object appear in all the pages tool". This tool was helpful but also problematic because when we wanted an image or text to appear in two pages and if you use that tool, it will make that particular image or text appear in all other pages too. Then the problem would be deleting that image or text from other pages or just try uploading the image or text in the two other pages that you want. This would only be time consuming.
The last limitation that I found was that hotglue did not have the undo option thus making it a bit difficult to edit. It was either delete the image or text or anything or re-upload it if you have made a mistake.

Other than that the hotglue was really a very easy system to use especially for beginners who have never used code to build their website. For those like me who know how to use code will feel a bit unease at using hotglue.

Advantages of Hotglue:-

Disadvantages of Hotglue:-

1.It is easy to manipulate structure, edit text, upload a file (images) and add video. That can be done on the web browser while viewing the contents.
2.Linking the pages between the pages is simple.
3.Simple use of drag and drop options of elements.
4.Any changes made in the hotglue is saved automatically without the user having to worry about the work not being saved.
5.Pages can be copied easily with just a click in the list of option in the list page.

1.There is very few option for the font styles.
2.Editing the size of the images is restricted. Like you can only resize images and there is no option of tilting the image. This can only be done in other software and then uploaded it in the hotglue.
3.The elements put or made in hotglue cannot be aligned in the center so that is why my portfolio is aligned in the left side. The adjustment to the aligning of elements in the hotglue is very difficult.
4.The tool that allows the pages or elements to appear in all the other webpages does not work upto the expectation. Suppose i clicked on an image and i just want it to only appear in two of my page and i cannot click on the "make object appear in all pages tool" because it will make the image appear in all the pages and not just the two preferred pages that i want. So i will have to either remove the images from the pages i do not want or i will have to upload the same image in different page rather than click on the make it appear in all page button.
